Before I tell you about my day today, I need to apologize. Mommy told me that I shouldn't use my blog to "zing" my big brother. Apparently, when I was talking about his grades in my last post, I wasn't very nice. So sorry, Neil. (I don't know how well my sincerity will come across, but I do mean it and I will try to be nicer towards you in my posts in the future. Now, on with my day!
.
We just got back from spending a couple of hours at the World Famous Fellsmere Frog Leg Fiesta Festival in downtown Fellsmere. It is a festival that is held every year in a town about 15 minutes from our home, but Mommy and Daddy had never been there. We were suppose to go yesterday to the see the rodeo, but we went shopping instead. Mommy was reading the paper and saw that they were having another rodeo so we decided to go see that. The rodeos were part of the Frog Leg Festival.
.
When we got to the "Rodeo Grounds," it was basically a open field that they had set up a rodeo ring. There weren't but a handful of people and it just looked pretty cheesy. When the lady said that it cost $15 per person to see the, "Hispanic Rodeo" Mommy and Daddy both looked at each other and said, "Nope, we'll pass!." (Not because it was a Hispanic rodeo, but that it was going to cost $30! They took Neil to his first rodeo in Dayton and it was an actual NRA-sanctioned event and it was only $8 or $10 per person!) From there we went to the actual festival area.
.
Being it was a Frog Leg Festival, I keep looking for all of the frogs in wheelchairs, but I didn't see any. No of us were actually going to eat any frog legs, but that is the big draw of the festival. People wait in a line of 50-60 people to buy a ticket to go wait in another line to get their frog leg dinner. The things people will eat. Unreal!
.
We walked around the craft area and several people stopped and called my name, "Look at all that Hair!" they would shout. There were some pretty neat vendors selling some pretty neat crafts. Uncle Paul B would have liked one of the booths. They were selling Hematite necklaces and bracelets and they purportedly offer some of the same benefits as magnets! (Uncle Paul B - Their website is http://wwwtandmholistics.com/ if you are interested!)
The best part of the whole festival was that I got to meet Ronald McDonald! Yep, without any connection from Neil, I got to meet the famous guy myself! He even held me and let Daddy take our picture! Of course, he gave all of the older kids some cookies, but I didn't get any. Oh well, maybe next time!
After looking at those pictures, I feel like I am that gnome in the Travelocity commercials. Maybe someday I'll be able to post pictures of me in far off places like Tennessee or Ohio!
.
Daddy and I just finished watching the Colts beat the Patriots. What a good game. Uncle Paul B says that I'm not allowed to talk about football on my blog so I can't get into my prediction about the Superbowl. According to Paul B, it would be wrong for me to say anything about the Colts beating the Bears by a score of 31-24. Maybe I'll start another blog for all of that!
.
I'm going to be setting up an eBay account shortly to help Daddy and Mommy get rid of all of the extra stuff that they have but don't use. Daddy was in the garage earlier today and realized some of the stuff in there hasn't been used in over 5 years! As soon as I set it up, I'll put a list of my auctions up here on my blog. Look for that in the next few days.
.
Just a quick update on my sleep patterns. I'm usually eating around 11:00pm and then falling to sleep between midnight and 12:30a. I try and sleep until around 5:00am and sometimes I make it and sometimes I still wake up around 3:30am. All-in-all, I guess I'm closer to sleeping trough the night. Mommy and Daddy would love it if I could sleep from midnight until 6:00am and I'm sure I'm close to being able to do that.
.
Well, I guess that is it for now. Love y'all and keep those emails coming. Remember to keep hanging by your thumbs and write if you get work!
Love ya,
MET

It's funny - I don't recall Ronald MacDonald looking quite that sinister when I was a kid... perhaps it's all those Stephen King books...
